TMC: Thirty Miles of Corruption

Someone without an agenda, but a mere concern for the fellow citizen?  Not always seen, but I am noticing more of this neighborhood phenomenon when it comes to the antics of intrusive government.  I noticed this in our neighborhood, that neighbors are looking out for other neighbors and warning them as well.  It’s difficult maintaining your household without having to worry about a $40 dollar ticket for parking or some other intrusive city violation in front of your home.  Cities such as San Jose, don’t have street sweeping or residential parking constraints.  The same can be said of parts of Sacramento.  Oakland on the other hand, had it’s own set of problems with ticketing.  It’s a shame that in Ward 1, Councilman Mike Gardner has not seen the hypocrisy of terrorizing his own constituents and aim high at retracting this ordinance.  After all, we do pay for street sweeping services, if we use them or not.  But many our saying as I am, just refund that tax money back to me, I’ll clean the curb, and that will eliminate the tactical ticket purveyors.  If that was the truth the city would have enough money to trim the shabby trees every year.  This really is not about clean streets, it’s about money.   It’s also enough that we are under the watchful eye of our other police force, Code Enforcement and Utility Readers.  Big brother?  Many do not like living life whereby your every move is watched for a possible violation, and of course this other police force reports to a higher source. But if the City of Riverside would take a lesson in better handling their check book, we would have a more relaxed community instead of one feeling terrorized by the antics of the current city councilman’s agenda.   Karl, you may not be looked upon as a hero to the city of riverside, possibly more of a thorn to their agenda, but you are certainly held in high esteem by the constituents of the City of Riverside.  Thank-you Karl, you are protecting us from all of what many thought was under the rug, but is now very prevalent in our government and neighborhoods today, an invasive government.  You’re the modern Paul Revere who will be highly revered by the community, and that’s something for Ward 1 Councilman Mike Gardner to think about while he’s running his segway via the safety of a sidewalk, while six year olds on bicycles must use the street, or otherwise be ticketed.  Even my 89 year old father who fought the Nazi’s on the shores of Normandy, France in 1944, agrees with Karl and states the same.  History repeats itself, it is our duty as American citizens not to forget, and to see the patterns of deception even within the realms of our own government, it’s what we fought for…
