Yes, and the other details that TMC failed to meantion is that the Leach was driving without any plates on his car. That he left his fiance that night, after taking some of her perscription drugs, to go meet his stripper girl friend, who was the ex wife of the president of a notorous biker gang in Corona. A cop in Corona, who was a friend of this biker gang president was put on leave for over a year while the Corona Internal Affairs investigated their relationship.
Leach’s actions over those last few years was so wild, it would have been hard for a Hollywood writer to have made it up.
After Leach beat his wife in San Diego and she divorce him, he moved in with a city councilman. They were known to go bar hopping in downtown Riverside. They were the Untouchables.
Eventhough he got a sweatheart medical retirement, he came back and sued the city for more.
