TMC: Thirty Miles of Corruption 
Of course they are not releasing the story. This is the oppression that the press-enterprise has submitted to for years. Ron Loveridge has manipulated what the press writes and does not write all the time he was in offcie. I saw it for myself. Also, might be the fact that the Press-Enterprise gets a huge reduction on their electric bill and also redevelopment money for their new building. The city is the only one who advertises with the Press, they don’t want to cut their major funding stream. This newspaper does not care about this community juts like the Mayor and City Council.
Oppression under Tyranny.
It’s definitely higher than Alicia. I know of more than one journalist who didn’t wait to be part of the next round of layoffs but were fed up with being hamstrung. But then the PE is the only Belo Enterprises publication (out of four) that’s in the red because it lost so much of its advertising in relation to the recession and construction bust. I know of at least one story that the PE told someone they couldn’t print because the city would go after them. It had to do with a phone call to the fifth floor right side some years ago.
But then all the best investigative journalism stories the reporters fought with the editors who fought with the publishers. Woodward, Bernstein. Jonathan Neumann. They plugged through it.
Circulation of a publication is highest on Sunday. Lowest on Saturday. They might just be picking which day, Tuesday’s the next “slow” day of the week.
Occupy the PE. After all there’s plenty of vacant space in that building.
I wonder why Pravda (The Truth) isn’t covering this? Too busy kissing up to Mike Gardner, I guess.
Once again TMC misinterprets what is going on. The controller is looking at one bond project – an overpass project – because of the Prop 1B monies involved. It is not a top-down audit. Nothing to see here people (sad to say).
