What Paul? Jason has never poorly crafted anything. And you know that!
I am concerned that Paul is backing the incompetent mayor only because the mayor won over him.
Our new management is crap!!! Crap I tell you, and we should not be spending just under 1/2 a million dollars on John Russo’s comp/salary.
The more I listen the more you are pissing me off Paul. None of the city council or manager ever listens to the residents!!!! You should be doing what the residents tell you and request, BUT you all do not!!! You all, only do what ever you all want. And you all don’t care how flipping much all of you squeeze us for money. Utilities are ours, stop gouging, and pretty sure that the city council is over the city manager. BUT none of you have the balls, to do the job right. NO MORE TAXES! Nazi council mentality.
Pensions should only be going to law enforcement and firefighters.
All the others (employees) should get inline with private retirement or social security.
NOBODY is holding a gun to anyone’s head making you all promise or pay for pensions.
JUST STOP them. Stop offering things we have no money (pensions) for and or is not our responsibility. BS ! Damned it why did you sell a block of buildings for a dollar when you all are bitching about having to spend for a new police station?
When people make well over $100,000 a year they have no room to speak for those who make 30,000 – 60,000. You won’t feel the sting of more taxes! NO on Z
Paul, Don’t blame the city councils financial irresponsibility’s on LE.
Jason you are being very kind, because ALL the city council including Paul are to blame, he is the one arguing for more taxes. None of the residents want to squander money that has nothing to do with the resident. Tax ourselves? That is insanity. Choice? You all are corrupt.

WTH We in Riverside moved here and do not want the city to become a crowded transient event place/ destination. Only brings more traffic and crime. I am so flipping sick of hearing the blatant disconcern for the residents. The council does not give a rip. WE have tier prices (WHICH ARE ILLEGAL) and we ARE paying more on the third part of our utility bills. The third part is equal and up to the same cost as out electric section. PAUL, we have come into mtgs for 10 years and NOBODY gives a crap about us, always condescending and negate.
FYI Paul, the majority in this country and city are unemployed and are just scraping by but hey who gives a flip. So it doesn’t matter if you say the cost hasn’t gone up, BUT IT HAS GONE UP and we are fined for using our Utilites. It SHOULD NOT GO UP especially if you all have allowed (STOLEN) 300 million dollars of our money stashed away. Hell no I do not trust any of them, they negate wise council. I have suffered through watching this, and listening to Paul is exactly like listening to obama and hillary bs. Watching the lack of integrity played out by our city manager and council is disgusting. Utterly disgusting.

I applaud both Councilman Davis and Mr. Hunter for having an adult conversation. While I voted NO on measure Z because i feel that the city needs to cut their budget I appreciate the comments from Councilman Davis. I truly believe Paul is for the people, however, he is outnumbered and the rest of the council does not have the same integrity that Paul has to come out and lead the charge for the changes.. Paul Davis can not do it alone he needs help.
If any of the council had integrity, they would not be imposing more taxes and justifying the horrible methods taken while they have all been in seat. They would also not have hired a city manager that costs us just under a $1/2 a million dollars a year in compensation. Nor would they even breath in the direction of handing over $1 million dollars a year to the Riverside Chamber of Commerce. The City of Riverside does not employ the Chamber of Commerce, and the chamber is to be it’s own entity comprised of business member to stir up the economy, and not the city to pay for it. INSANE and must be stopped.
Most importantly IF any of them had integrity, they would not approve of the illegal game playing they do at RPU, including overcharging and tier pricing, while holding onto over 300 million dollars of our hard earned monies. None of them have integrity. Integrity does what is right, and is not afraid to stand against opposition. Jason Hunter has integrity, as do many of the other advocates for the community.
LOL. Davis is a big blowhard. Our local Trump.
You NEED to get Don Gallegos’s new art piece, it is the BOMB. Tells the Story Quiet well, at least the spending side of it.

I like Kevin Dawson, but I wish he would not have used an inaccurate source for his figures on the assistant police chief’s pay and benefits. Kevin Dawson unknowingly maligned a very good person using incorrect information. I suggest that he look up “assistant police chief” in Transparent California and compare total benefits of all the assistant chiefs in the state. Also, he should see what how their total benefits compare to their regular pay. Something is very wrong with these figures, as they are more than half the person’s salary in many instances. Example: the asst. police chief of Newport Beach supposedly made $204,872 in regular pay in 2015. Yet, his “total benefits” for the same year were, per Transparent California, $132,196.69. The assistant police chief of Oakland supposedly made $204,242.34 in regular pay in 2015, and $109,345.37 in total benefits.
***Also, if these figures are accurate, why did Vicino’s “regular pay” GO DOWN in 2015 from 2014? Vicino is a person with high ethical standards, and does not deserve to be defamed this way. He was the only person in the police department who apologized to me for how I was treated. Moreover, I was told by a well-liked city councilman of Vicino’s high standard of ethics-even though the two of them do not like each other. So, I hope people will think twice before believing what is put out on Transparent California, and before making a good person look bad.
