Folks, really, why are we paying the Riverside Plaza to advertise Our Public Utilities? We begin to ask this question does PU have so much money they don’t know what to do with it? If that’s the case should the rate payers and the public owners receive a rate reduction and a reimbursement for overpayments? Since “We Own It,” we as shareholders should receive some sort of dividend for our investment.

The obvious question is: Must the recall petition signatures be only those in his ward? Or can they be from the entire city??

It is a shame that it took a recall action by the citizens in Ward 6 to get a Council person to stop voting “YES” on rate increases, red light camera charges, vilifying another Council person and other violations of the Brown Act!
Why do we have to train a Council person to do right and engage with his Ward 6 residents? Just going to LANA and RRR is NOT representing your constituents!You were NOT elected to make independent decisions, Jim! You were elected to represent your Ward and what THEY want!
When I see other Council members working so hard to be involved with their community, what does Ward 6 get? ZIP! No innovation! Free Shoes? Camp Anza was already planned by Nancy Hart and was waiting for more federal funding! Oh, yes, give credit where credit is due, Jim! Do you honestly think people with work hard for you so that you can take ALL the credit??? Are you out of your mind? I’m a community advocate but I draw the line when I see that you cannot even acknowledge Nancy Hart’s involvement in Camp Anza! There is NO incentive for me to work with you. And, I am definitely not a b-kisser! And, if you are use to that kind of person. Fine. That is just not me!
My plans for Ward 6 will stay on the shelf until a Council person is elected that truly wants to represent the people! And, it is a shame that whatever you get, it is because you hold the title and office of Council member, not Council person for the people of Ward 6!
And, if people say that I have an axe to grind, YES, I do! You hurt people in the pocket book when they are in a poor area, working hard for their families, and you kept emptying out their wallets! I’m not the heartless one here! And, you want us to wait until your term is over? How much more additional costs are you going to put on the Ward 6 residents before you leave? We cannot afford to wait!

it’s not what the public wants, it’s what is best for the community as a whole. that needs to be distinguished. what if the public wants public executions of shoplifters ? again, political representatives are here to represent their constituents and not be a yes man or yes woman to anyone, whether it’s a union, political action committee or anyone else.
